As the Founder and CEO of Sustainability Alternatives, he empowers governments, cities, and SMEs to navigate the complexities of Net-Zero, air quality, and sustainability governance.

By integrating advanced analytics such as air-pollution dispersion modeling and circular carbon intelligence into decision-support tools, Dr. Sharma helps organizations translate climate ambition into measurable, high-impact results.

  • National Policy Advisory: Served as Scientific Consultant (Grade II) with the NATCOM Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India (2025).

Dr. Sharma holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Surrey (United Kingdom), an MRes in Environmental Engineering (High Distinction) from Macquarie University (Australia), an MS from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (India).

His contributions to sustainability research have been recognised through the International Environmental Scientists Award for Best Academic Researcher in Sustainability.
